Objection Drill

Real objections, one at a time, against the clock. Answer out loud like you're on the call, then check yourself.

Which objections? (8 of 8)
Seconds to answer

An objection appears. Answer it out loud before the clock runs out, like you're on the call. Then check yourself against the five steps and two example responses, and rate how you did. Best with a friend or your manager listening.

How the objection drill works

Pick the objections you want and how many seconds you get. Each one appears as the buyer would say it. Answer out loud before the timer runs out, then check yourself against five steps: pause, ask, isolate, answer, confirm. Read two example responses and rate yourself: nailed it, shaky or froze. At the end you get a score and the objections to drill again.

Make it stick

Run the drill daily for a week, then drop the timer to five seconds. Do it with a partner who plays the buyer and pushes back a second time. For the reasoning behind each step and longer scripts, read objection handling for sales.

Frequently asked questions

How do you practice objection handling?

Say your answers out loud, under a little time pressure, until the right first move is automatic. Reading scripts isn't enough; on a live call you have seconds. The drill gives you one objection at a time with a timer, then lets you check yourself.

What are the most common sales objections?

Price, timing, needing someone else's approval, already having a vendor, “send me information”, budget, “not interested” and “I need to think about it”. Those are the eight in the drill.

What is the best framework for handling objections?

Pause, ask, isolate, answer, confirm. Take a beat, ask a question to find the real concern, check it's the only one, answer it directly, then make sure the answer landed. Our objection handling guide walks through each step.

Should I memorize the example responses?

Use them as a starting point, not a script. The goal is the move behind them, usually a question, said in your own words.

Is this AI role-play?

No. It's a timed drill you run out loud, alone or with a partner. Nothing is recorded or saved unless you email your results to yourself.
